You’ve got a couple weeks left until Valentine’s Day and you need to prepare gifts for your significant other, friends, and family. You’ve already got dinner planned and you’ve prepared a box of chocolates, but you need something more unique to really let them know that you care. The possibilities are endless and honestly a bit overwhelming, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with these simple and easy DIY projects!

Homemade Sugar Scrub Recipe

Everyone loves a little self-care. Picture this: a warm bath, two scented candles, and an exfoliating scrub. Sounds like a nice, relaxing night, doesn’t it? This sugar scrub will exfoliate your skin, making it feel soft and luxurious. Even better, this scrub requires only two main ingredients: granulated sugar (or Epsom salt) and coconut oil. It makes for the perfect gift in a jar!

  • Granulated sugar (or Epsom salt)
  • Coconut oil
  • Citrus zest or citrus essential oils to boost mood and energy
  • Eucalyptus essential oil for stress relief
  • Lavender essential oil for relaxation
  • Vitamin E oil for an extra moisturizing effect

Simply combine ½ cup of coconut oil, ¼ cup sugar, and 2 tablespoons of essential oils (optional). Once combined, add to your 8oz jar and seal. Add a label with ribbon or twine if you would like and you’re all done making your own homemade body scrub! Not only is this scrub wonderful for your skin, but it’s so pretty too!

Favorite Things in a Jar

This is the perfect gift for anyone you care about! Simply gather several small items your gift receiver loves and put them in our 32oz mason jar. The best part about this unique gift is that it really shows how much you know about the individual you’re giving it to. Everyone loves feeling heard, so here’s your opportunity to really show that you listen and care. You know your loved ones best, but if you need some extra fillers, here are some simple ideas:

  • Their favorite candy
  • Nail polish
  • Nile file
  • Their favorite flavor of chapstick
  • Face mask (Pairs well with our sugar scrub recipe!)
  • Hair scrunchie in their favorite color
  • A necklace or bracelet with their birthstone

If you’d like to add some extra flair, you can even add some confetti to the jar or print out this free label to attach to the jar with ribbon or twine or attach to a card.
