Today we’ve got three easy cookie recipes and a hot chocolate recipe all in a jar, which make for easy presents that almost anyone will love. Our jars keep these dry ingredients fresh and safe, so all your recipient needs to do is follow attached directions and add in the wet ingredients! The best part about these is that you can make them together, and enjoy some lovely quality time with whomever you gift them to.

For these recipes, you’ll layer the dry ingredients in one of our gorgeous glass jars, and then attach an index card that lists the wet ingredients along with the instructions to assemble everything.

Everyone’s favorite snack, the chocolate chip cookie is a real crowd-pleaser. Being that they’re so easy to make, and so widely loved, this recipe is the perfect gift for almost anyone. Here’s the best chocolate chip cookie recipe that will bring a smile to your loved one’s face.

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 ⅔ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar

Wet Ingredients

  • ¾ cup butter
  • 1 ½ eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Layer the dry ingredients in a 32 ounce jar. 

Directions to attach

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. 
  2. Empty contents of jar into a large bowl. 
  3. In a separate bowl combine ¾ cup of butter, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. 
  4. Beat until creamy, and add to the dry mixture. 
  5. Using a tablespoon, scoop onto an ungreased cookie sheet 
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes.

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 1/3 cups white sugar

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 eggs

Just like with our chocolate chip cookies, you’ll be placing the dry ingredients in a glass jar, and attach a note with the directions and wet ingredients listed. This time, whisk together the dry ingredients to combine them.

Directions to attach

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. 
  2. In a large bowl, cream 1 cup of butter and 2 eggs. 
  3. Pour in the snickerdoodle mix, and stir until a dough forms. 
  4. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon. 
  5. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls
  6. Roll the balls in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. 
  7. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Cookies should be light brown when finished. 
  8. Cool on wire racks.

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 1/3 cup sugar-sweetened lemonade mix
  • 1 cup white baking pieces
  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ cup very finely crushed lemon drops

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup softened butter
  • ¼ cup canola oil

Layer your ingredients in a jar as follows:

  • In a 1-quart jar, layer lemonade mix, 1/2 cup of the white baking pieces, the flour, baking soda, salt, and the remaining 1/2 cup baking pieces, tapping jar gently as you layer. 
  • Fasten the lid. 
  • Place crushed lemon drops in a small resealable plastic bag; seal bag and tie or attach it to the jar.

Directions to attach

  1. Set aside the bag of crushed lemon drops. 
  2. Empty the contents of the jar into a large bowl. 
  3. Stir in 2 eggs, 1/4 cup softened butter, and 1/4 cup canola oil until combined (knead dough if necessary to combine). 
  4. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. 
  5. Roll balls in crushed lemon drops to coat. 
  6. Freeze balls for 15 minutes. 
  7. While balls are freezing, preheat the oven to 350°F. 
  8. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. 
  9. Place balls 3 inches apart on the prepared cookie sheet. 
  10. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned. 
  11. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes. 
  12. Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup powdered milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup mini marshmallows

Layer ingredients in a 32 ounce jar in order listed (sugar, cocoa powder, powdered milk, salt, chocolate chips, marshmallows).

Directions to attach: Add 4-5 spoonfuls of mix to one cup of hot water. Stir and enjoy!
